Island Steel is a locally owned business specialising in the supply, fabrication and installation of structural steel throughout the Bass Coast Region. Over the past 20 years, Island Steel has gained a sound reputation and an extensive knowledge of the local area.

During this time Island Steel has been awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Metal Building Products Manufacturing Association for the Wonthaggi Wayside Stop Tourist Information Shelter and Display.

With a staff of four, Island Steel has successfully completed projects with a significant tonnage of structural steel such as the Newhaven College Gymnasium and Year 9 Environmental Centre; Phillip Island Adventure Resort Gymnasium; apartment blocks on the Cowes foreshore; Bi-Lo Supermarket Wonthaggi and recently assisting Westernport Water Authority in complying with OHS standards at their Water Treatment Plant. This included the manufacture and installation of handrails, stairs and platforms.

By using our own truck-mounted cranes and other crane companies in the area, a wide variety of structural steel installations have been achieved.
